Find Out How Far Pregnant You Are We offer free pregnancy tests, though we do ask that you call ahead to let us know when you are coming. The gestation of a pregnancy, or how far along you are pregnant, is measured in weeks from the first day of your last normal menstrual period—“LMP.” It is not measured from conception—when you actually got pregnant—which usually occurs about two weeks after your period. Please keep in mind that the gestation of your pregnancy may only be confirmed by an ultrasound examination (see Our Doctors and the Abortion Procedure for more information on ultrasound). At the DTWC, we provide abortions from 5-20 weeks gestation. If you are beyond 20 weeks pregnant, please call us and we may be able to refer you to another clinic.
